Energy Security in Central and Eastern Europe. Achieving our Climate and Security Goals Together
[Polska wersja ogłoszenia poniżej]
Polska z Natury [Poland from Nature] Foundation, Conservative Environment Network and Jagiellonian Club Center for Analysis are delighted to announce that on November 28th in Warsaw will take place a conference:
ENERGY SECURITY IN CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE. ACHIEVING OUR CLIMATE AND SECURITY GOALS TOGETHER
On November 28, key conservative decision-makers and experts from the region and partnership countries will gather in Warsaw to discuss the energy future of Central and Eastern Europe and the role of „green conservatism” in the energy transition. Can the „green revolution” be carried out fairly? How can we ensure that the needs of the most vulnerable groups are taken into account? Will the implementation of Fit for 55 foster closer cooperation among the countries of the region? What can we achieve in terms of energy security by acting together? And what role can green conservatism play in this process?
Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine has posed a new challenge to the security of Europe. Central and Eastern Europe is at the forefront of this challenge and needs to strengthen our energy sovereignty and cooperate with other partners from the region.
During the conference, we will discuss which paths to energy independence have been untaken by the various countries and which of them creates opportunities for the CEE region as we tackle climate change. What are the lessons learnt? How will the development of renewable and nuclear energy sources affect relations in the region? Can joint infrastructure projects increase mutual resilience to increasingly frequent crises? What lessons can we learn from centre-right parties like the UK Conservatives who have been ambitious on the environment.
Confirmed panelists are listed below in the agenda.

ENERGY SECURITY IN CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE. ACHIVING OUR CLIMATE AND SECURITY GOALS TOGETHER
Jakie wnioski możemy wyciągnąć z działań np. brytyjskich konserwatystów, którzy ambitnie podchodzą do kwestii ochrony środowiska?
